Below, you'll find several answers to a number of frequently asked questions. Please read through these answers before we talk on the phone or conduct a Zoom call.
1. Which platform will you use to build my website?
I use GroovePages, but I also know how to maintain websites built in WordPress and other platforms. What I love about GroovePages is that it's FREE! No hosting fees! Gotta love that!
2. What other costs should I know about?
Well, if you're ordering website services, you’ll need a domain name, which costs about $12-15 per year depending on where you register it. I register my domains at ReallyCheapNames.com. They charge about $12.99 per year per domain name.
3. What if I don’t have the funds right now, would you accept a deposit down to get started?
Absolutely! I also offer flexible payment plans if that helps you. Let's discuss your situation.
4. Do you offer ongoing support after the project is completed? do we get started?
I offer one month of complimentary website maintenance as a courtesy. Thereafter, if you need additional help we can discuss what that might cost. For the most part, once your website is built, for example, you can almost leave it alone and let it do its job without any extra monies needed to maintain it.
5. How do we get started?
First, we have an initial telephone or Zoom consultation to discuss how I can help? After I understand the scope of work required, we'll agree on a dollar amount for the project, start with a deposit down and I'll get right to work. Depending on how large the project is to work on, I'll provide weekly, if not daily, updates. We'll always stay in touch with what work has been done, what's left to be done and what monies are owed at what point along the way.
6. How do I pay you?
I accept cash, CashApp, Venmo and Zelle payments via your bank account. Typically, a deposit is required to get started and payments made along the way and/or when the project is complete.
7. What if I already have a website?
We can look at your current website and update it or rebuild it completely or you can purchase another domain and we work on that one.
8. What if I want to make changes?
Depending on the changes you want to make, with the website building system I use, I can show you how to make your own changes so you don't have to rely on me for small changes.
9. Do you offer refunds?
Due to the creative digital nature of projects, no refunds will be issued unless I have yet to start the project. But, once I start working, payment for work performed cannot be refunded.
10. What’s the preferred method of contact once the project begins?
Text is best and fast. eMail is great too. Please allow up to 24 business hours for me to respond.
11. What are your available work hours?
I'm available and work Monday through Friday, 9 AM to 5 PM, excluding weekends and holidays. Still, if it's an emergency, text me and I'll respond as soon as I can.
